It’s hard to believe that this beautiful property is only 30 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and 50 minutes from downtown Dallas.

The 230 acre ranch in Johnson County is a site to see. 

THE GROUNDS

The stone and iron entry gates are sure to impress anyone as you enter the estate. The Texas scenery and charm are unmatchable. As you drive around the beautifully designed round about you see many of the outdoor features including a rose garden with a fountain and a gazebo on the south side of the home. But this is only one of the charming gazebos on the property. Another is on the north side of the home and is called the teahouse and even has it’s own fire pit. This teahouse gazebo is located near the historic water well built in the 1870’s. 

As you continue around the home you find a raised vegetable garden ready to be planted and a recreation pit for sand volley ball or many other outdoor activities. Tennis lovers will enjoy having their own private regulation size court. Your guests will have endless outdoor activities to enjoy.

The home is protected with a state of the art security system and is a smart home. A surround sound system can be enjoyed from the patios, the gazebos and the tennis court.

THE LAND

Oakland Ranch is a working ranch. This once was the town of Oakland which is where the name comes from. Ranchers will appreciate the barn, livestock gates and five tanks or ponds. There is a 10 acre manmade lake that is full of catfish and bass ready to be caught. Extensive pipe fencing surrounds the property and there is a 1,000 foot deep well used to irrigate the property.

A small cabin was recently built near the 12 acre lake that is located on the ranch. The lake is 20 feet deep and operates as it's own ecosystem stocked with large mouth bass and catfish. A tree was preserved in the middle of the lake and sits on an island with a gazebo and green egg smoker in the outdoor kitchen. 

Walker's Spring was named after the first owner, Philip Walker, a Texas revolution hero. The natural spring has been used by many generations dating back to the time when Native Americans used the springs for picnics and recreation.  Another gazebo is located atop the spring and a new party pavilion has just been completed as well. 

The ranch has a full time staff with a worker who lives on the ranch and oversees the day to day maintenance.
